WalkieTalk Offline is designed as a 100% offline, peer-to-peer local network application:

• We do NOT collect, store, transmit, or share any personal identifiable information (PII).
• We do NOT record, archive, or upload your voice transmissions or audio data to external servers.
• We do NOT collect location data, contact lists, phone numbers, or device IDs.
• No cloud analytics or user tracking services are used.

3. Device Permissions Required & Purpose

To operate as an offline Walkie-Talkie over local networks, the app requests the following system permissions:

• Microphone Permission (RECORD_AUDIO): Used exclusively to capture real-time audio when you press and hold the PTT (Push-To-Talk) button. Audio is streamed directly over your local network and is never stored.
• Local Network & Nearby Devices Permission: Used to discover nearby active peers on the same local Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi Hotspot via NSD (Network Service Discovery).
• Foreground Service Permission: Enables the app to maintain background socket listeners so you can receive incoming voice calls when the app is minimized.

4. Local Peer-to-Peer Transmission

All voice communications take place strictly over your local area network (LAN) or mobile hotspot using peer-to-peer sockets. Data remains contained entirely within your local network boundary.
